How Do I Use Muslin Squares?

For swaddling, lay a large muslin square flat on a surface, place your baby in the centre, and wrap the corners around your baby, tucking them in securely. For use as a breastfeeding cover, drape the muslin cloth over your shoulder and across your chest, providing both privacy and protection to yourself while feeding your baby.
How Many Muslin Squares Do I Need for a Newborn?
As a general guideline, we recommend having at least 10-12 muslins on hand for a newborn. One for each room that you will be using with the baby, a couple in the changing bag, a couple in your hospital bag, one in the car and a few in the wash should be enough for everyday use. Having them easily to hand is extremely useful when they are suddenly needed!
