What exactly is a nappy cake?
It’s a beautiful baby shower centrepiece made entirely from nappies and baby essentials and styled to look like a cake - no sponge, no icing, no crumbs… just thoughtfully chosen pieces arranged so it feels magical the moment it’s opened.

What goes inside a Nappy Cake?
Nappies form the main structure of the cake while baby essentials are used to hold the structure together and decorate the cake. the type of items that are included in our nappy cakes are: muslins, bibs, hats, socks, mittens, a brush and comb set, a beautifully soft knit blanket, and often a comforter too - plus the occasional little treat for the parents.
How to make a Nappy Cake
- Roll each nappy and secure it with a small elastic band.
- Build your base tier by arranging them in a circle, then wrap with ribbon.
- Repeat for the next tier and pop something sweet on top. like a little comforter.
- Add baby essentials like muslins, socks & mittens - and a parent treat.

A little peek into our design studio
Our little design studio sits right next to our shop. There’s often music playing (and we’re very often singing along), the embroidery machine quietly humming, and the gentle bustle of making something truly special.
We start by rolling each tiny nappy until it’s sitting just right, stacking them into soft tiers before gently tucking in the sweetest cotton essentials. Muslins fill gaps beautifully, socks and mittens add sweet detail, and a comforter on top makes it feel extra special. It’s calm, creative, and honestly one of our favourite parts of the week.
